Cycling Cup: Samuel Mugisha dedicates win to his late mother

Racing for the first time after the tragic loss of his mother last month, Samuel Mugisha (Team Dimension Data Continental) won the longest race of the 2017 Rwanda Cycling Cup series and dedicated the victory to his late mother.

Saturday’s race, a 180-km long race took riders from Nyanza to Rubavu.

Visibly emotional at the finish line as he remembered his mother who passed away last month after being hit by a car, Samuel couldn’t help but cast his mind back to when he first learned of the tragic death of his mother.
